Privately owned and operated, the Hotel San Carlos in downtown Phoenix offers you personalized service and warm hospitality in a charming, European style atmosphere. The Hotel San Carlos is proudly the only historic boutique hotel in the Phoenix area. Built in 1928 and constructed by nationally known architects in an Italian Renaissance Design. Great for the business or leisure traveler, we are within walking distance to the Phoenix Civic Center, the Arizona Center, Dodge Theatre, Orpheum Theatre, Chase Field, US Airways Arena, and so many other downtown attractions. A major Phoenix attraction for several decades, celebrities such as Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, Mae West, Spencer Tracy, Carol Lombard, and others spent time here over the years. Please make note that in our continuing effort of improving the quality of service for our guests we will begin the renovation of our lobby area July 1st . As compensation we would like to offer a complimentary breakfast daily to visitors that will be our guests with us during this remodel.
