The Blue Ridge Parkway crosses the Virginia State line into North Carolina at mile marker 216.9. Drive the Parkway in the Fall of the year for beautiful views of Autumn leaves changing color in the mountains of NC. Here is a list of the places of interest (some with pictures) from north to south.

Crabtree meadows is a 250 acre park with a campground, picnic area and comfort station. The attraction here is Crabtree Falls which is accessible via a 1.6 mile hiking trail. the trail is rated moderate and takes about 40 minutes depending on your walking speed.- mile marker 339
