Greensboro is located in Guilford County which is in the Piedmont. The main roads to Greensboro is I-40 and I-85. The Greensboro airport is Piedmont Triad International Airport located off I-40 at NC 68 exit west of Greensboro. The Amtrak station is located at 2603 Oakland Ave. The Greensboro Visitor center  234 Washington St

Blandwood Mansion is located at 447 West Washington St. It was built in the 1790 s. The Blandwood Mansion was the home of John Moorehead who was the governor of North Carolina from 1841 - 1845.

Guilford Courthouse National Military Park includes Guilford country Courthouse, Hoskins House and Tannenbaum Park. Guilford County Courthouse is located on US 220  which is Battleground Ave. This was the location of a decisive battle in the American Revolutionary War. Reenactment of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse held at country Park the weekend that is closest to March 15, the anniversary of the battle. Tannenbaum Park is located across from Guilford Courthouse National Military Park.Hoskins House built 178 which is where Cornwallis's British troops gathered prior to the battle of Guilford County courthouse.  Tours are available.

Mattye Reed African Heritage Center is located at the Dudley building on the campus of the North Carolina A&T University 1601 East Market Street. The center exhibits on African culture, arts and crafts from New Guinea, Haiti, African nations

Guilford Native American Art Gallery Greensboro Cultural Center at Festival Park is located at 200 North Davie Street. The center features local, state, regional, and international Native American artists

Natural Science Center located at 4301 Lawndale Drive. The center features a Museum, a small Zoo, a Planetarium and a gem and mineral exhibit

Lexington NC is South of Winston Salem on US 52 in Davidson County

In Lexington you will find the Bob Timberlake Gallery which is located at East Center St. The Gallery features the artwork by Bob Timberlake who was influenced by Andrew Wyeth. Lexington is also famous for NC furniture outlets from the local factories.

Boone's Cave State Park is west of Lexington off I 85, NC 150, US 64. In the park you can go fishing in the Yadkin River. There is a picnic area, hiking, picnic tables and grills and a reconstructed log cabin
