 The main roads to Greensboro is I-40 and I-85. The Greensboro airport is Piedmont Triad International Airport located off I-40 at NC 68 exit west of Greensboro. The Amtrak station is located at 2603 Oakland Ave. The Greensboro Visitor center  234 Washington St


African American Atelier INC is located at 200 N. Davie Steet within the Greensboro Cultural Center Complex at Festival Park. It offers art educational programs for African Americans and exhibits their artwork in its galeries.

Country Park is located at 3905 Nathanal Green dr. There is a dog park within the park. Also, there are 2 fishing lakes, playgrounds, trails for both hiking and biking, picnic areas and paddleboat rentals.

Friendly Center is located at 600 Valley Rd. The center offers desinger name shopping.

Greensboro Coliseum is located at 1921 West Lee Street. It features concerts, Broadway shows, events and more entertainment venues.

Greensboro History Museum is located at 130 Summit Ave. The museum exhibits on the history of Greensboro, Native Americans, Dolly Madison, O. Henry, Military history, Civil War artifacts, decorative arts, costumes, textiles, toys and more.

Greensboro Children's Museum is located at 220 North Church street. The museum features hands on exhibits for children one through twelve.

Greensboro Cultural Center at Festival Park is located at 200 N. Davie Street. The center complex features visual and performing arts theaters and galleries. Galleries and theaters included within the complex are Green Hill Center of North Carolina art, African Atelier, the Greensboro Artists League and the Guilford Native American Art Gallery.

Greensboro Sportsplex

Guilford Courthouse National Military Park includes Guilford country Courthouse, Hoskins House and Tannenbaum Park. Guilford County Courthouse is located on US 220  which is Battleground Ave. This was the location of a decisive battle in the American Revolutionary War. Reenactment of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse held at country Park the weekend that is closest to March 15, the anniversary of the battle. Tannenbaum Park is located across from Guilford Courthouse National Military Park.Hoskins House built in the 1780s which is where Cornwallis's British troops gathered prior to the battle of Guilford County courthouse.  Tours are available.

Guilford Native American Art Gallery Greensboro Cultural Center at Festival Park is located at 200 North Davie Street. The center features local, state, regional, and international Native American artists

J Spencer Love Tennis Center

Mattye Reed African Heritage Center is located at the Dudley building on the campus of the North Carolina A&T University 1601 East Market Street. The center exhibits on African culture, arts and crafts from New Guinea, Haiti, African nations

Neighborhood Nature Center

Natural Science Center located at 4301 Lawndale Drive. The center features a Museum, a small Zoo, a Planetarium and a gem and mineral exhibit.

North Carolina Colonial Heritage Center - Museum, diorama of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse and exhibits on colonial life.

Old Greensborough Downtown Historic District is located around South Elm Street. The district features antique shops, art galeries, restaurants and old retail stores. It is also very lose to downtown Greensboro.

Piedmont Triad Farmers Market is located on Sandy Ridge Rd in nearby Colfax which is west of Greensboro off I-40. Buy fresh produce.

Sedgefield Country Club is located at 3201 Forsyth Drive. This is a private club with championship golf and hosts the PGA tours.

Tannebaum Historic Park - reenactments of Revolutionary War battle of Guilford Courthouse, the Allen House (1700s' log dwelling), museum, picnic areas.

War Memorial Auditorium is located within the Greensboro Coliseum Complex at 1921 West Lee Street.

Weatherspoon Art Museum is located at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). The musuem exhibits 20th century art filling 6 art galleries. There is a sculpture courtyard.

Wet and Wild Emerald Pointe Waterpark is located at 3910 South Holden Road. Ride down waterslides. The waterpark feature Thunder Bay with a tsunami wave pool. Otherides include drop slides, enclosed slides, tube rides and cable glides. The park is only open in the summer months.


Eastern Music Festival is held from late June to early August. It is located at Guilford College Campus. The festival features young gifted musicians playing in leading orchestra symphonies.
