The heart of this lovely 2,400-acre hideaway is Lake Lure, a postcard-perfect oasis where canoes and pontoon boats quietly glide across its still waters. Turn left onto Bill's Creek Rd. (State Road number 1008), go 2.5 mi. and turn left onto Buffalo Creek Rd. From I-40, take the Marion/Sugarhill Exit #81. Turn south off exit ramp onto Sugar Hill Rd.
