Rowan Museum is located at 202 North Main St in Salisbury NC. The Museum is a courthouse that was built 1854. It features exhibits with civil war artifacts

Morrow Mountain State Park is located east of Albemarle NC. At the State Park you can go fishing and swimming. There is a picnic area, hiking trails and canoe and boat rentals.

North Carolina transportation Museum is located off I-85 North of Salisbury in Spencer NC. The museum features exhibits on the history of transportation in NC from 1800 thru today. There are shops here too.

Uwharrie National Forest is close to Morrow Mountain State Park. There are campgrounds and hiking trails in the park. You can also go boating.
